(b) Power of Entry for Search, Examination & Detention.

77. (1) The Health Officer may enter and search or cause to be entered and searched any building or enclosure examination, for the purpose of ascertaining whether there are any persons suffering from infectious disease or contacts therein and may cause any persons found therein to be examined in order to ascertain whether any of them are infected or have recently been infected.

(2) He may further cause any person to be detained for medical examination and may segregate in such place as he may appoint for the purpose any person found to be or suspected to be infected.

(3) The Health Officer or any officer duly authorized by him, may, at any time enter, any premises for the purpose of examining, and may examine any dead body where he has reason to believe that the cause of death has not been certified by a duly qualified medical practitioner or has doubt as to the diagnosis made, and he may if the thinks fit order the removal of such body to any place if such removal is in his opinion necessary for the further examination of the body.

(c) Restrictions Against the Exposure or Transport of Infected Persons or Infected Articles.

78. Except with the permission of the Health Officer no infected person shall depart from the house or place in which the disease manifested itself to any other house or place nor shall any person assist in such departure as aforesaid.

79.-(1) No person while suffering from an infectious disease shall expose himself in any street, public place, shop, inn, boarding house, lodging house, hotel, church, mosque. temple, or any other place used in common by persons other than the members of the family or household to which such infected person belongs nor shall any person assist in such

exposure.

(2) The transport of infected persons to hospital or other place approved by the Health Officer if carried out under proper precautions shall not be deemed an offence against this section.

80. No person shall knowingly give, lend, sell, pawn. transmit, remove or expose any bedding, clothing or other articles which have been exposed to the risk of infection. Removal with proper precautions by the Health Officer shall not be deemed an offence against this section.

81. Except on the requisition of a Health Officer or to be carried Police Officer no owner, driver or person in charge of a public conveyance shall permit any person suffering from an infectious disease to enter such conveyance nor shall any infected person enter a public conveyance except as aforesaid. The Health Officer may detain any vehicle that appears to be infected for such time as may be necessary to disinfect it.

82. The Health Officer may, for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this Ordinance, temporarily impress motor cars, carts, or other vehicles ordinarily let for hire
